Trading Rules

Please read these rules/guidelines and follow them prior to contacting me for a trade:

General Rules:

- If the rules are not followed, or you rip me off, you will be notified as a bad trader on every forum I visit, meaning a lot of people will know. Please keep good communication throughout the trade, I don't want to wait weeks for your reply. Also, be honest about your shows, I do too, if something is drastically not as expected then a replacement is necessary.

- Generally, be polite, I will not accept trades from people who are rude or offensive, unless of course you have something really nice.

- If you contact me first, then you send first, absolutely no exceptions to this. I've sent first before and got ripped off so I don't want it to happen again. Of course if we've traded before then were buddies, and we can send at the same time.

- Sometimes I may be a little slow, as I have other commitments than trading, but I will always send in the end, I just need to be pushed. This is not always the case, and can be very fast on other occasions.

- I trade disc for disc only, not show for show. For example some shows can be 3 discs or 1 disc, so I would require an equal amount in return. I trade [1 CDR: 1 CDR], [1 DVD-R: 1 DVD-R] and [3 CDR : 1 DVD-R].

- Don't bother emailing me with 'I was at this show this show, I would love to have it, but I don't have anything to trade.' as I can't help everyone who requests this. If you make it worthwhile [like a bunch of good blank discs], or if I im not busy at the time then I can help you, but otherwise I can probably point you in a direction of someone who can help you.

- Please test your discs before sending them to me, I don't want to go through the trouble of sorting out replacements, get it right the first time round.

- Please send all discs individually in paper sleeves, do not have two discs rubbing together, especially on the playing surface! I am not interested in cd cases as they take up too much space and often break through postage. I am not interested in any artwork.

- Make sure the discs are well packaged so they do not get damaged through the post, again I don't want to go through the trouble of demanding replacements, when it could have been prevented.

- Please burn shows at a middle speed or lowest possible, to ensure the safest and most accurate burn. This means 8x or less for CDRS and 4x or less for DVDs. I don't want any faults on my discs, I expect them to be as flawless as possible. Of course I mean the disc quality and not show quality, as I understand that equipment can be poor and results in a poor sound.

- I trade in bootleg live shows only, I don't trade and am not interested in getting any official item, and I certainly do not condone the trading of such items.

For Audio Shows:

1. I DO NOT WANT MP3 SOURCED SHOWS. This can not be stressed enough, I deal in lossless recordings only. I can check to see if something is mp3 or not, so do not try and fool me. I expect you to check before trading, whether something is mp3 sourced or not. I will demand replacements for anything I receive as mp3.

2. DO NOT SEND SHOWS WITH GAPS BETWEEN TRACKS. The vibe of listening to live shows is ruined when track transitions are not perfect. They must be flawless. This means also shows are to be burned DAO [Disc At Once], as to prevent the damn 2 second gap.

3. DO NOT ENCODE ANY OF MY RECORDINGS INTO MP3. If I send a show, I do not want you to convert it into mp3, please respect this. If I see an mp3 copy of certain shows then I will no longer trade those shows. These tend to be the rarer variety.

4. I don't care much if the show is in lossless flac/shn/ape or burned on a CDR. I do not usually do online trades, but im happy to receive these file types on a data DVD-R.

5. If you have any source info or lineages then please let me know. I want to know which equipment was used, and how many generations it is from the master. This isn't always known so this isn't something I can enforce through a trade.

6. Please use good quality media, for example TDK, Fujifilm, Taiyu Yuden or Sony. I do not like Memorex, or any cheap no name brands. This is not a pre-requiste, but it is appreciated. As long as the discs are verified, I am not so bothered about the media, as long as it works fine.

7. Please let me know if a show is ripped from a VHS or DVD. I don't like to get audio shows where this is the case because I would rather just get the video. Im interested in real audio recordings only.

For Video Shows:

1. I DO NOT WANT VCD SOURCED DVDS. Even if the master tape is crap quality, I don't want it to get worse by having the show compressed. I will not accept anything which has come from .mpg, .avi, divx or anything lossy at all.

2. Make sure all DVD's are playable in stand alone players and not just the computer DVD drive.

3. Make sure you give sufficient details on the transfer or generation, to make sure that im getting the best quality version of a show that is currently available.

4. Please use good quality media, Memorex, TDK, Verbatim are generally the better ones. This is more important to me than for CDR's, as these degrade much more. Poorer quality discs tend to produce bad sectors or just not work after a while, and then I would have to demand a replacement.

---

I know it seems like a lot to take in, but these are the general guidelines for every trader, so you should get used to it. To make sure you have read my rules, make sure the email title is BOOTLEG TRADE, yes, in capitals too so I don't miss it.

I know what I have written is much more longwinded than any other trader, but I want to make sure things are right, and everything goes well.
